Planning a Walt Disney World Vacation 2014
As some may know, we went to Walt Disney World at the beginning of December 2014. We thought that it would be the best year to go since it had been ten years since the both of us had been. Yep, Jon and I went to Walt Disney World for our honeymoon! Our original plan was to actually be at Disney on our anniversary and for Michael's 3rd birthday, but decided against it due to finances.
Back in March 2014, I had met an agent for Pixie and Pirate Destinations LLC at a local consignment sale and ended up sending an email to her for a quote for the first week in December. Since it's off season, the hotel prices are cheaper than in June like we were originally planning. The first week of December is also supposed to be least crowded and all the parks are decorated for Christmas. A win, win for all! Since we had an idea of what things were going to cost, we decided that we would go for it and booked our tickets and room six months in advance. During those six months, the agent we originally went with decided to quit being an agent. We were then switched over to a wonderful agent that helped us out with everything else. If you would like to contact Laura for a free quote, you can visit her website with Pixie and Pirate Destinations LLC or her Facebook page. I'm sure I'll be contacting her in the future for other Disney vacations. **Update 2018** Since writing this, Laura is no longer taking on clients, she has moved up in the company. Don't worry, I've got you covered for an agent. I have booked three Disney vacations through another amazing Pixie and Pirate Destinations agent, Kristy (**Update 2019** Kristy is no longer with Pixie and Pirate, but has moved to another agency Two Sisters Travel). You can visit her Facebook page to contact her for a free quote. If you live in the Northern Virginia area and would rather work with someone local, I have a friend, Nikki, who owns her own travel agency Favorite Grampy Travels. You can visit her Facebook page to contact her for a free quote as well. Both ladies have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Disney vacations and will go above and beyond to make your vacation a magical one.
There's so much that I can write about with the planning, getting ready, and just being on the trip that I've decided to write several different posts. I will link all of them below so they'll all be in one location. Let me know what you'd like to see in the different posts. I'll be writing about all four parks, character meals, how we traveled down there, where we stayed while we were down there, and many more things we did.
Staying on Disney property
Driving to Walt Disney World
Picking out a character meal for your Disney vacation
Packing for Walt Disney World
Making your own Disney autograph book
Memory Maker, is it worth it?
Movies to watch before your Walt Disney World trip
Counting down to your Disney vacation
Got your MagicBands, now what?
Taking a stroller to Walt Disney World
Epcot 2014
Magic Kingdom 2014 - Day 1
Hollywood Studios 2014
Lunch at Be Our Guest Restaurant
Magic Kingdom 2014 - Day 2
Here's all the pins that I've pinned to help with planning this trip and future Disney trips:
