Done the Pinterest thing?
Now that Pinterest is open to everyone, I'm sure most have created many boards on what to do with their house, DIY ideas, recipes to try in the future, wedding planning, and whatever is going on in your life. I love it! For years, I've been asked for wish lists for ideas for birthday and Christmas gifts. Now, I have a board for that so that my family can look at it to get ideas of things to get while doing their shopping. It really is a great tool, but not everything on there turns out the way they say it should. I, so far, have not run across them, but I've not been able to do all that I have on my idea boards and I don't always follow the ideas completely. Here are some pins that I have tried:
Creamy Chicken & Noodles
This is an awesome meal! If trying to eat healthy, this is not the recipe for you. Crock pot meals are the way to go with me. Just toss everything in the pot, set the timer and leave it. With a toddler running around, this is the best way to make dinner. We had several days worth of left overs, but we are a family of two adults and a toddler. I think this would be a great meal to make for a potluck dinner. Just cook it in the crock pot, transport it in the crock pot, and you can keep it warm during the dinner.
Cheesy Potato Fries
I love getting cheesy fries at Texas Roadhouse and Red Hot and Blue, but getting an appetizer can make your bill get a little high. So, I wanted to try this out at home so that when I have the craving, I can make it myself. I might not have followed the instructions completely and that could be the reason for them not turning out as good as they should have. I put the fries on the cookie tray and also put the cheese, bacon bits, and onions first thing. That made the fries not cook all the way through. I was also thinking of maybe cooking the fries first in a pan with some oil until they're golden and then finish them off in the oven.
Mini Baked Corn Dogs
They didn't turn out like I thought they would. My two year old only ate the corn muffin and left the hotdog even though he likes hotdogs. I wanted to try and make corn dogs without having to use the deep fryer. Don't get me wrong, they tasted good. Just not exactly like a real corn dog.
Pepperoni Roll Ups
Great little snack! I've also tried with some pizza sauce in the roll ups. I always keep these items on hand in case we need a little snack.
Displaying Christmas Cards
I displayed our Christmas cards last year with the running a piece of ribbon down the front of kitchen cabinets idea. I loved the look of it - really dressed up the kitchen. We already had candy cane stripe ribbon and clothespins so, didn't have to buy anything to do this project.
24 Christmas Books
Did this last year. I love this idea to get the kids excited about Christmas and a fun way to count down the days. Did not turn out as great as I wished. Hoping that this year will be different.
I know I have gotten much more ideas from Pinterest, but can't seem to find the pins to be able to link them. When I try out a new pin, I will make a blog on how things went. There are several ideas that I plan on doing here in the future. Especially for Christmas gifts! ;)

I agree, I love Pinterest! I have failed at getting an orange "center" thingy to light and burn like an oil candle! Oh well, life goes on, lol !
