DIY Dry Erase Calendar
I decided to make this to try and help with our meal planning. It seems that we eat some of the same meals every week. Was thinking that if we had a calendar to see what we ate a week ago and two weeks ago that it might help us come up with different meals every week.
We've been using this 8x10 photo frame on our fridge for about a year now as just a dry erase message board. I had bought the frame from Walmart for around $5 or maybe less.
I had bought a roll of self adhesive magnets that I cut to fit the frame so you could still put pictures or whatnot in.
I bought this 8x11.5 scrapbook page from Hobby Lobby for about $0.44. This is what I will use to make the calendar.
I got on my computer to create the calendar and opened up Word. In the new Word there are many different templates for making your own calendars with.
I wanted something that was landscaped and not filled in for a particular month. This one was perfect.
I removed the stuff at the top.
Since I wasn't sure which way the printer printed, I labelled the side of a plain white paper that faces up F and then the other side B.
So, it ended up printing on the back. For some reason it printed like this. I changed the margins to be narrow and for it to print only the page I was on.
Did another test and it printed correctly. Just had to center the calendar.
It turned out the way that I was wanting it to.
Had to cut it down so that it would fit in the frame.
Turned out just how I wanted it to! Plus it didn't really cost that much to make. You could use this to keep track of your childrens' schedules or just the whole family's.
