So, the other day I started looking for some new recipes via Pinterest so that we wouldn't get into another rut. Since this weekend we are going to be out of town for Jon's family's reunion, the dinner meal plans are on the short side. Here's what we have coming up:
I've been meaning to sit down and write a follow up from my two other posts about starting potty training back in the end of May and beginning of June (Preparing to Potty Train and Week One of Potty Training). At the end of June, the Dulles Town Centre retired the airport themed play area for a new Washington Nationals themed play area in the food court. We actually checked out the new play area right when it
A few weeks ago I had wanted to make turkey, but not a whole turkey. Wegmans had exactly what I was looking for, a split turkey breast. I've cooked several whole turkeys, but never a split breast. I took to the
When figuring out this week's dinner plans, I ended up picking meals that we had most of the items already. This helped out tremendously with the items that we needed. Here's the list of dinners for the
Review guidelines:
1 Fork = I would rather eat dog food.2 Forks = I would eat there if I was starving.
3 Forks = Not bad; someplace I would occasionally consider eating.
4 Forks = A good place to eat; I will put it into my rotation of places I dine frequently.
5 Forks = One of my all time favorites!
One caveat to note – I am allergic to fish and seafood, so if you are looking for those recommendations, you will have to consult someone else.
Because I have a daughter-in-law with Celiac and a really good friend who is Vegetarian, I will try to point out whether those options are present when I review a restaurant.
Last month when my Dad and Step-mom were in for a visit, we went to the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal in Potomac, MD. My family has always been about visiting historical/educational places. Growing up when we would go on vacation, my Mom would make sure that we went somewhere that was historical/educational.
I love living in Northern Virginia. There's so many playgrounds and parks to take your children to. This is such a blessing since I have such an active son. A few Sundays ago we decided to check out a park we had

Friday was a little different than how we normally go about our Fridays. Michael had another week of swim camp so we ended up waiting until he got up from his nap before I took him to do the grocery shopping. It did give me time to figure out what to have for dinners during the week. I started getting into a slump

Family Drive-In
5890 Valley Pike
Stephens City, VA 22655
(540) 665-6982 (movie hotline)
It had been many years since I had been to see a movie at the drive-in. I remember we would go every so often to see the new kid friendly movie that was showing first. My brother and I would then fall asleep during the more adult friendly second movie that my parents would watch.
