Fun Family Halloween Activity
I know this is late and I had all intentions of writing about this weeks ago. How about something fun to plan to do with the family next October. We bought these 3D foam structure kits at Michaels and had so much fun putting them together. I actually went to Michaels today and all Halloween items are on sale 80% off! I bought two more kits for less than half the cost of one! I'm set for next year.

I'm slowly buying stuff to decorate my house in the different seasons other than Christmas, I've had that holiday covered for many years. When I was at Michaels at the end of September, I saw these awesome 3D foam structures and thought it would be something fun to put together as a family and then use it for many more years as decoration. Michael is in love with pirates so, I bought the small pirate ship kit that he's holding in the picture above.
We had Michael help with punching out the wholes in the pieces and the characters out of the sheets. He loved doing that.
This kit was fairly simple. Just like putting a puzzle together.
The instructions were just pictures, no words. On the other kits they were a little harder to understand what you had to do, but we figured it.
There's our small pirate ship. Michael wanted to play with the characters, but we didn't want him tearing the ship apart so this ship is on the top shelf of our built-in.
We liked putting the ship together so much that we bought this huge haunted house. This one was a little more difficult. We ended up doing some modifications and broke out the glue. Had Halloween music playing and had a blast putting it together.
Yep, we put a third one together as well. This had lots of layers to the different characters. Pretty cool that we built a roller coaster or ghoster I should say!
So, if you want something fun to do with the family next Halloween head over to Michaels and get a few kits. They even have Christmas ones that were 40% off. I bought some of those to do late November early December.
