Since we didn't do our weekly grocery shopping the week before, this week's list was rather long. I will admit that with the budget being double the amount, we did purchase some items that were not needed and not on the list.
It's been almost seven years since we bought our three story townhouse and we have finally started the kitchen remodel process. We want to try and upgrade our kitchen by spending as little money as possible. Our goal is to also try and pay this in cash as much as possible. Therefore, this remodel will be in several phases.
Congratulations on receiving your MagicBands! You have about two weeks before your magical vacation at Walt Disney World. You have the keys to your vacation, now what?
When I was choosing what to plan for dinners this week, I had to keep in mind about what meats I had in the freezer. One pound of hamburger and 11 breast of chicken - what to make with that and not make everyone sick of chicken? Since the weekends are normally our splurge days, here's what I had planned for this week:
Everyone has counted down to the end of waiting for something. Why not do something fun to get your whole family even more excited about that Disney vacation you have planned?!
Michael and I ended up doing the grocery shopping on Monday morning. Just didn't feel like doing the shopping over the weekend. We had a lot of household items on our list this week which eats up a good bit of the budget. Since I knew that my food budget would be less, I decided to plan meals where I already had the items or they were on the cheap side.
I decided to try a recipe, One Dish Supper, that my mom used to make when I was a kid even though my husband does not care for beans and potatoes. It was rather easy to make and fairly cheap.
