BrickFair in Chantilly, VA
Looking for something fun to do this weekend and are a huge fan of bricks or LEGOs? Check out BrickFair at the Dulles Expo in Chantilly, VA on August 1st and 2nd. We went last year and had a pretty good time.

One thing I learned last year, buy your tickets ahead of time. The line to buy tickets at the event is long and they only take cash. If you go to the BrickFair LEGO Convention website, you'll see that advanced tickets are closed. Well, I have another way for you to get tickets online and at a discount! Check out Certifikid to get your discounted ticket.
Last year when we went, The LEGO Movie had just come out on DVD and was being played all over the expo center. Michael absolutely loves this movie and was excited to go and see LEGOs.
The expo center is filled with many exhibits like these. Amazing things can be made out of LEGOs.
There are even vendors there selling some pretty hard to find pieces. Michael loves Toy Story so we bought him the Buzz Lightyear, a Woody, an alien, a Rex, and a Lotso. When we got home from the fair, Michael and Jon started building stuff for these LEGO characters with the LEGOs we already had.
For the kids and big kids, they can build stuff as well. They had several bins filled with bricks to build cars to race.
Of course, they couldn't pass up building something!
Almost ready to race.
Their final creation! Now, time to see if it goes fast.
Ready, set, race!
Yep, I even took video!
They had a bouncy house for the kids.
My boys had a good time. Might go again when Michael's a little older for him to appreciate all of the exhibits that were on display, but at least they do have some things for the little ones. That way the whole family can go and have fun.
