Broadway Grand Prix
Since I'm not too big on sitting on the beach and getting in the ocean, I'm always looking into fun family experiences to do. During our Myrtle Beach vacation back in 2015 we decided to try out Broadway Grand Prix.
We had been wanting to take Michael go-karting for awhile, but he was never tall enough to get to enjoy it. Broadway Grand Prix has made it so everyone will have a good time and be able to ride or participate in something. There are several different types of tickets and looks like you can get a discount by purchasing online. We went with the cheapest wristband since Michael was 4 years old at the time.
Be sure to stay hydrated while having fun here, it can be rather hot since there's nothing but tracks and not a lot of shade. There is a snack bar onsite of which helped when Michael started acting hangry and over heated.
So, the main reason for coming was to ride go-karts. They have several different tracks to try out. Michael was only tall enough to drive on one, the Kids Track. He did have a little bit of an issue with the car and think it might have been it was just a little too powerful for him at that time. Here's video of him driving:
Jon and I took turns on different tracks that Michael couldn't ride on. There were two tracks where Michael could ride along with one of us, the High Bank Oval and the Family Track.
Included in our tickets was unlimited riding in what they refer to as the Kid-Zone. This is how we kept Michael preoccupied while one of us was go-karting. Just wish these were a little more shaded for us parents watching the kids ride.
Also included was 2 rounds of mini golf on the Circuit. Yeah, after going to several other mini golf courses down in Myrtle Beach this was such a let down. We didn't even finish our first round. It was not kept up and just nowhere near as nice as the other places you can visit while down there. Unless they've done some updates, I wouldn't waist my time doing this course.
Over all it was a nice place to go-kart at with the family. We decided last year not to go back because Michael still was not of the height to be able to fully enjoy the tracks. I think they next time we go to Myrtle Beach we'll put this on the list of things to do since he'll be tall enough to ride more. Have you been to Broadway Grand Prix? If so, what you think of it?
